Alina Sahakyan was born in Russia and grew up in Yerevan, Armenia.
She began to study Fine Arts at the age of thirteen.
On the period from 1992 to 1997, Alina were getting her Bachelor and Mater degree in Fine Art at the Yerevan Pedagogical University in Armenia and her mainly focus was on drawing.
From 1998-2001 Alina studied at the Art Academy Maximiliene De Meuron in Switzerland, where she was able to increase her knowledge and began working with oil, studies from the nude and sculpture.
In 2006 participated in the Art program at the Central Technical School in Canada.
Today Alina lives and works in Stouffville, Canada and works mostly with wool in needle felting technique. In April 2013 she had a solo exhibition in Toronto where her felting works were exhibited. She has also participated in several exhibitions presenting her oil paintings and ink works in Ontario, Canada and in Switzerland.
